Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Remote Helpdesk Technician to support users across the East London region and beyond from a fully remote IT department. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and network issues to ensure smooth daily operations.

In this role, you will provide timely remote assistance, document steps, manage user accounts, and contribute to knowledge base articles, while upholding SLAs and delivering excellent customer support from a remote setup.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Helpdesk Technician or in a similar IT support role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems.
• Familiarity with network concepts, troubleshooting tools, and remote support technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose technical issues efficiently.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fully remote setup.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems and applications.
• Respond to helpdesk tickets promptly, adhering to SLAs.
• Assist users with connectivity, printer, and peripheral problems via remote access tools.
• Document troubleshooting steps, solutions, and create knowledge base articles.
• Manage user accounts and permissions within various IT systems.
