Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote Compliance Officer to ensure adherence to South African laws and internal policies within insurance operations, working from a remote office near Stellenbosch.

You will develop and monitor compliance programs, train staff, and conduct risk assessments while staying up-to-date with FAIS, FICA, and POPIA regulations to uphold ethical standards across the organization.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Compliance Officer in insurance or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of SA insurance regulations (FAIS, FICA, POPIA).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Solid understanding of risk management principles.
• Relevant professional qualification or certification in compliance or law.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive compliance programs and policies for the insurance business.
• Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on the company's operations.
• Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to identify potential compliance breaches.
