Job summary

Placements24 seeks a diligent Remote Insurance Compliance Officer to ensure adherence to SA laws and regulatory requirements across operations. Develop and monitor policies, train staff, and conduct audits while staying updated on FAIS and FICA. The role supports Randburg and beyond, allowing full remote work from home.

You will liaise with regulators, respond to breaches, and contribute to risk management with strong analytical and communication skills in a remote setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance or related field.
• Proven experience in compliance, risk management or legal roles in financial services or insurance.
• In-depth knowledge of SA insurance laws and regulatory frameworks (e.g., FAIS, FICA).
• Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for remote delivery.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain compliance policies and procedures for the insurance business.
• Monitor changes in laws, regulations and industry standards and assess impact.
• Conduct internal audits and reviews to ensure compliance.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance matters and best practices.
• Investigate compliance breaches and recommend corrective actions.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and external auditors as required.
