Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Site Safety Manager to lead HSE programs for major construction projects from a fully remote setup. The role emphasizes proactive risk management, auditing, and strong leadership to cultivate a safety-first culture across dispersed teams.

Ideal candidates have 6–8 years in construction safety management, SA regulations knowledge, and certifications like NOSA or IOSH. The position offers remote flexibility, competitive incentives, and ongoing safety training

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in OHS, Environmental Management, or related field.
• Professional certification such as NOSA or IOSH is highly desirable.
• 6–8 years of construction site safety management experience on large projects.
• Deep knowledge of SA OHS Act and Construction Regulations.
• Strong remote communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to work independently and multi-task in a remote setup.
• Proficiency with safety management software and standard office apps.
• Commitment to zero-harm safety.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain HSE policies for construction sites.
• Conduct regular site safety audits and inspections.
• Investigate incidents and determine root causes.
• Develop and deliver on-site safety training.
