Job summary

Placements24 seeks a diligent Remote Construction Health and Safety Officer to lead safety across our client’s projects from a distance. You will develop and monitor HSE programs, perform remote risk assessments, and ensure regulatory compliance while engaging site teams virtually.

You will deliver online safety training, investigate incidents, and drive a safety‑first culture with strong documentation and reporting capabilities.

Qualifications

• Requires strong knowledge of construction HSE principles and regulatory requirements.
• NEBOSH or SAMTRAC certification preferred.
• Experience in developing and implementing comprehensive safety management systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive Health and Safety plans for construction projects.
• Conduct remote risk assessments and identify potential hazards on construction sites.
• Monitor site safety compliance through regular virtual inspections and reporting from site personnel.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant national and local health and safety legislation and regulations.
• Deliver safety training and awareness programs to project teams virtually.
