Placements24 is seeking a highly motivated Remote Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to join their globally distributed team. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced security measures to protect the organization's digital infrastructure from home.

You will lead incident response, automate security controls, and collaborate across development and operations to integrate security best practices, while staying ahead of emerging threats in a fully remote setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity engineering and operations.
• Proficiency with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation of security tasks.
• Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure) and container security is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage security solutions, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and SIEM systems.
• Develop and automate security controls and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Conduct in-depth security analysis of systems and applications, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending remediation strategies.
• Lead incident response efforts, including investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into the development and operational lifecycles.
• Stay current with threat intelligence and emerging security technologies to provide proactive defense strategies.
