Placements24 is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to join a high-performing security team in a fully remote capacity. You will design, implement and manage advanced security solutions to protect infrastructure and data, shaping the security strategy in a distributed environment.

The role emphasizes cloud security, security automation and incident response, with collaboration across development and operations teams and mentoring for junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• 7+ years of cybersecurity engineering experience with defensive, network and cloud security.
• Strong expertise in firewalls, SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS and vulnerability management.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain security infrastructure including firewalls and IPS.
• Develop security automation to improve threat detection and response.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing of networks, apps and cloud.
• Lead incident response with containment, eradication and recovery guidance.
• Collaborate with Dev/Ops to embed security in SDLC and cloud deployments.
• Architect and manage secure cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) with proper controls.
• Mentor junior engineers and help develop security policies and procedures.
