Placements24 is seeking an experienced Information Security Manager to lead a comprehensive security program in a remote-based role. You will drive security strategy, ensure compliance, and manage a remote team to protect sensitive data and systems across the organization.

The role requires strong leadership, deep knowledge of cybersecurity threats and best practices, and a track record of implementing enterprise-wide security programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in information security, with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing enterprise-wide security programs.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the organization's information security strategy, policies, and procedures.
• Lead and mentor the information security team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
• Oversee incident response planning and execution, ensuring timely and effective resolution of security breaches.
• Manage security awareness training programs for all employees.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards (e.g., POPIA, GDPR).
• Conduct regular risk assessments, vulnerability management, and penetration testing activities.
• Manage relationships with third-party security vendors and service providers.
