Placements24 is seeking an Information Security Specialist to join a fully remote security team. You will maintain and enhance the organization’s security posture by implementing controls, performing assessments, and guiding internal teams on best practices.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of information security experience, knowledge of ISO 27001 and GDPR, and strong analytical and communication skills for a remote, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in an information security role.
• Proficiency with security tools such as firewalls, SIEM, and vulnerability scanners.
• Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, essential for a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain security controls, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint protection.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify and address weaknesses.
• Respond to security incidents, perform analysis, and assist in remediation efforts.
• Develop and update security policies, standards, and procedures to align with best practices.
• Provide guidance and support to internal teams on security best practices and compliance requirements.
• Monitor security systems and respond to alerts in a timely and efficient manner.
