Placements24 is seeking an Information Security Specialist to strengthen security controls, perform risk assessments, and coordinate incident response across IT and business units. The role emphasizes proactive security and continuous adaptation in a dynamic environment with remote work flexibility.

You will implement security technologies, conduct regular audits, and help develop policies to align with ISO/NIST standards, supporting data protection across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in CS/IT/cybersecurity.
• 3-5 years of professional information security experience.
• Solid understanding of network, system, and data protection principles.
• Hands-on experience with security tools such as SIEM, vulnerability scanners and endpoint protection.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001 or NIST frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Implement, manage, and maintain security technologies (firewalls, IDS, VPNs, endpoint protection).
• Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and pen tests.
• Develop and update security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Assist in investigation and remediation of security incidents.
• Provide guidance to IT staff on security matters.
• Stay current with threats and technologies to recommend improvements.
