Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Information Security Specialist to join a distributed security team for remote work. You will monitor security events, analyze incidents, and implement controls to protect sensitive information across all digital environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in CS/IT or related field.
• 2–4 years hands-on information security experience.
• Familiarity with network security, cryptography, authentication, and authorization.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security events and alerts from SIEM, IDS/IPS, and firewalls and triage.
• Investigate incidents, analyze root causes, and contribute to remediation plans.
• Assist in implementing and maintaining security technologies and solutions.
• Conduct security awareness training for employees and provide guidance on security best practices.
• Support development of security policies and procedures.
• Assist compliance efforts by documenting adherence to security standards.
