Placements24 seeks a seasoned Information Security Manager to lead our security program and drive a robust cybersecurity strategy. This fully remote role oversees security operations, risk management, and compliance, shaping the organization’s trusted digital environment from anywhere, potentially impacting Soweto.

The role requires 10+ years in information security with 4+ years in leadership, deep knowledge of NIST/ISO 27001, and a track record of enterprise-wide program delivery.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field.
• 10+ years in information security with at least 4 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record building and running enterprise-wide information security programs.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and best practices (NIST, ISO 27001).
• Experience with risk management, compliance, incident response, and security operations.
• Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the organization’s information security strategy and roadmap.
• Lead and mentor a team of information security professionals.
• Design, implement, and operate security controls, policies, and procedures across IT environments.
• Manage the incident response program and post-incident reviews.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and oversee remediation of identified risks.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and industry standards.
