Placements24 is seeking an Information Security Engineer for a fully remote role. You will design, implement, and manage security infrastructure to protect the company's assets in a distributed environment, collaborating across time zones to uphold high security standards.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in information security, strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell), cloud security experience (AWS/Azure/GCP), SIEM expertise, and a deep understanding of secure SDLC practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, Cybersecurity or related field.
• 4+ years in information security engineering or similar role.
• Strong scripting for automation (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Hands-on cloud security experience (AWS/Azure/GCP) and container security.
• Experience with SIEM platforms and security monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security solutions (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection).
• Develop and automate security workflows and processes.
• Conduct regular security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability management.
• Monitor security systems and respond to threats and anomalies.
• Integrate security into the SDLC with development and operations teams.
• Manage security infrastructure for availability, integrity, and confidentiality.
• Create and maintain security documentation and diagrams.
• Respond to incidents, perform forensic analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Evaluate and recommend new security technologies.
• Participate in on-call rotations for incident response.
