Placements24 is seeking a Remote Industrial Engineer specializing in systems design to join our innovative team. This role focuses on conceiving, designing, and optimizing complex operational systems and supply chains through advanced modeling and simulation from anywhere in South Africa.

You will work with geographically dispersed teams, leveraging digital collaboration tools to drive efficiency, scalability, and resilience across business units.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in industrial engineering, with focus on systems design and simulation.
• Proven expertise in simulation software (AnyLogic, Arena) and data visualization.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects remotely.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and model integrated operational systems, supply chains, and production workflows using simulation software.
• Conduct deep-dive analyses of system performance, identifying opportunities for efficiency, cost, and throughput improvements.
• Develop and present strategic recommendations for system optimization and technological integration.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, project managers, and stakeholders using virtual communication tools.
• Create detailed technical documentation, process maps, and implementation plans for proposed system designs.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in industrial engineering and digital transformation.
