Job summary
Placements24 is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer for a remote-first role in South Africa. You will design, implement, and refine manufacturing processes to boost efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness, collaborating with R&D, production, and quality teams.
The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Industrial Engineering and at least 7 years in process development, with Lean, NPI experience, and proficiency in Minitab.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering.
- 7+ years in industrial engineering with focus on process development.
- Experience with Lean methods and data analysis.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for new product introductions and existing lines.
- Design production layouts and workflows to maximize efficiency and reduce waste.
- Conduct process capability studies and implement improvements using statistical methods.
- Create and maintain process documentation including flow charts, SOPs, and work instructions.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot issues.
- Identify and evaluate new manufacturing technologies to enhance productivity.
- Perform cost analyses and feasibility studies for process changes and capital investments.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing principles to drive continuous improvement.
- Train production personnel on new or modified processes and equipment.
- Stay current with industry trends in manufacturing processes and technologies.
