Placements24 client seeks an Industrial Engineer to drive process improvements across international warehouses and distribution centers from a remote location.

You will analyze data, standardize workflows, model future state operations, and lead virtual cross-functional teams using Lean and Six Sigma.

Must have a Bachelor's in Industrial Engineering, 6+ years in logistics, and strong data analytics skills (Excel, Python, SQL) with excellent remote collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in industrial engineering with a focus on process improvement in logistics, warehousing, or manufacturing.
• Lean and Six Sigma experience; certification is a strong plus.
• Ability to analyze large datasets and translate findings into actionable improvements.
• Proficiency in process simulation software and data analysis tools (Excel, Python, R, SQL).
• Excellent remote communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work across time zones and drive projects with minimal supervision.
• Experience with international teams and global operational challenges is desirable.
• Eligible to work remotely within South Africa.

Responsibilities

• Analyze global warehouse and distribution data to identify trends and inefficiencies.
• Develop standardized best practices for receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping.
• Design and model future state operational flows using simulation and process mapping.
• Lead virtual cross-functional teams to pilot and roll out new procedures and technologies.
• Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement tools to achieve efficiency gains.
• Develop and track KPIs to measure impact of changes.
• Prepare reports and present recommendations to stakeholders across time zones.
• Collaborate with technology teams to identify system enhancements.
• Facilitate remote training sessions on new processes for international teams.
