Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Industrial Engineering Specialist for a fully remote role, applying engineering principles to improve processes across distributed operations from your home workspace.

You will analyze current manufacturing and business processes, identify bottlenecks, design lean and Six Sigma solutions, conduct time‑motion studies, develop process maps and SOPs, and track KPIs to drive ongoing efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, or closely related field.
• 4+ years hands-on experience in industrial engineering or operations improvement.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, value stream mapping, and 5S.
• Six Sigma knowledge; Green Belt certification desirable.
• Proficiency with Excel, SQL, and statistical software.
• Excellent problem-solving and remote collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current manufacturing and business processes to identify opportunities for efficiency gains and cost reduction.
• Design, develop, and implement improved workflows using lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Conduct time and motion studies, workflow analyses, and capacity planning.
• Develop detailed process maps, documentation, and SOPs.
• Utilize statistical analysis and data modeling to support decisions and validation.
• Collaborate with operations managers, production staff, and stakeholders to implement changes.
• Track KPIs and report on process performance and project progress.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and propose effective solutions.
• Stay updated on new technologies and best practices in industrial engineering.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
