Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a visionary Remote Industrial Engineer to lead a major digital transformation journey. The role is fully remote, guiding global teams in adopting IoT, AI, analytics, and automation to reimagine industrial processes.

You will drive a digital roadmap, analyze connected-system data, and design real-time monitoring solutions while communicating progress to stakeholders and enabling cross-functional collaboration across time zones.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with a strong digital focus.
8+ years in industrial engineering with at least 4 years in digital transformation, automation, or advanced analytics.
Proven experience leading digital initiatives and managing cross-functional, distributed teams.
Deep understanding of IoT, AI/ML, data analytics platforms, and process automation technologies.
Excellent ability to conceptualize and implement complex digital solutions.
Strong project management skills, with experience in Agile methodologies.
Exceptional remote communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to translate technical concepts into business value and strategic recommendations.

Responsibilities

Lead the assessment and implementation of digital technologies (IoT, AI, data analytics, automation) to improve industrial processes.
Develop and execute a digital transformation roadmap for operational efficiency and productivity gains.
Collaborate with remote and on-site teams across various departments to drive the adoption of new digital tools and workflows.
Analyze data from connected systems to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for optimization.
Design and implement digital solutions that enhance real-time monitoring and control of operations.
Facilitate virtual workshops and training sessions to upskill teams on digital platforms.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and assess their potential application within the organization.
Develop business cases and project proposals for digital transformation initiatives.
Ensure seamless integration of digital solutions with existing enterprise systems.
Communicate progress, challenges, and successes of digital transformation efforts to stakeholders at all levels.
