Job summary

Placements24 seeks a visionary Lead Industrial Engineer to drive digital transformation from a remote location. You will lead a team implementing Industry 4.0 concepts, data analytics, and automation across business units, collaborating with global teams and shaping strategic roadmaps for operational excellence.

You will guide ERP/MES-enabled projects, develop KPIs, and deliver training while ensuring ROI and stakeholder alignment in a fully remote SA-wide role.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Industrial Engineering or Systems Engineering.
• 8+ years in industrial engineering with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record in digital transformation and Industry 4.0.
• Experience with ERP/MES and data analytics technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead digital transformation strategies within industrial engineering functions.
• Mentor a team of engineers, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
• Oversee Industry 4.0 tech deployments including IoT, AI, ML, and robotics.
• Develop project plans, budgets, and timelines for initiatives.
• Collaborate with IT and Operations for seamless integration.
• Analyze operational data to identify digital improvement opportunities.
• Define KPIs to track ROI of digital initiatives.
• Develop training on new digital tools and methodologies.
• Stay informed on industry trends and recommend adoption.
• Present strategic plans and updates to senior management.
