Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Lead Human Resources Specialist to join a remote-first team supporting Randburg operations. You will spearhead HR strategy across talent management, organizational development, and employee engagement while guiding the HR function and leadership.

You will mentor teammates, shape policies for a diverse, distributed workforce, ensure compliance with SA labor law and international practices, and drive performance and retention in a high-growth

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Human Resources, MBA or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership or specialist role.
• Experience in strategic HR planning, talent management and organizational development.
• Knowledge of South African labour law and international HR practices.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills; excellent communication and influencing abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of strategic HR initiatives, including talent management, succession planning, and workforce analytics.
• Develop and refine HR policies for a remote, diverse workforce.
• Provide expert consultation to senior leadership on complex HR matters.
• Drive employee engagement and retention for a distributed team.
• Oversee HR compliance and risk management in line with legislation.
• Mentor and develop junior HR staff.
