Placements24 is seeking a highly organized People Operations Specialist to join their fully remote team. You will manage onboarding, HRIS, payroll liaison, benefits administration, and ensure compliance with South African labor laws, delivering a positive employee experience across a distributed workforce.

The role requires strong administrative skills, clear virtual communication, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of HR operations experience.
• Strong knowledge of South African labor law and best practices.
• Proficiency with HRIS platforms (Workday, SAP SuccessFactors) and MS Office.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for remote work.

Responsibilities

• Manage onboarding and offboarding remotely.
• Maintain HRIS data accuracy and integrity.
• Serve as first point of contact for HR queries, policies, and procedures.
• Administer employee benefits programs and ensure timely processing.
• Liaise with payroll providers for accurate salary payments.
• Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and improvements.
• Ensure compliance with SA labor laws and regulations.
• Generate HR reports to support decision-making.
• Assist in managing employee relations and culture.
