Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned remote HR Manager to lead human resources for a distributed workforce. You will design and implement HR strategies that foster a positive, productive, and inclusive virtual culture while operating autonomously in a remote-first environment.

You will oversee talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation and benefits, and HR policy development, guiding leadership with data-driven insights and ensuring compliance across jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive HR experience with leadership exposure.
• Experience managing HR for remote or distributed teams.
• Strong knowledge of South African labor law and HR policies.
• Experience with HRIS and compensation/benefits administration.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic HR plans for a remote workforce.
• Lead talent acquisition, engagement, and retention initiatives.
• Oversee compensation, benefits, and performance systems.
• Ensure labor law compliance across applicable jurisdictions.
• Advise leadership on HR best practices and employee relations.
• Champion DEI initiatives in a virtual workplace.
