Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a self-motivated Remote HR Generalist to support a distributed workforce. This fully remote role covers recruitment, onboarding, policy interpretation, and employee engagement without needing to be in Stellenbosch.

You will be the key HR contact for employees, shaping a cohesive remote work environment with strong digital communication and autonomous work style.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as an HR Generalist, including remote or hybrid work experience.
• Proficiency with HRIS platforms and virtual collaboration tools.
• Strong understanding of South African labour law and remote employment practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for remote interactions.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end recruitment for various roles via online platforms.
• Facilitate virtual onboarding for new hires.
• Provide remote HR support to employees and managers via digital channels.
• Develop and update remote-friendly HR policies and handbooks.
• Contribute to engagement initiatives tailored for remote teams.
• Maintain accurate, confidential HR records in the HRIS.
