Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in HR, psychology, law, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience, with significant focus on employee relations.
• Strong knowledge of South African labor law and its implications for ER.
• Proven experience in workplace investigations and handling complex ER cases.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, ability to build trust remotely.
• Ability to work independently, manage time, and thrive in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance to employees and managers on employee relations issues such as performance management, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes.
• Conduct impartial investigations into grievances and misconduct, document findings and recommend actions.
• Ensure consistent application of policies across the organization to promote fairness.
• Stay updated on SA labor law and advise on compliance and risk mitigation.
• Develop and deliver virtual training on ER topics for managers and staff.
• Facilitate communication between employees and management to foster a positive remote culture.
• Support HR initiatives related to engagement, retention, and culture in a distributed team.
• Maintain confidential ER records and collaborate with the broader HR team.
