Placements24 is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join a remote-first team in East London, Eastern Cape. You will partner with business units, aligning HR strategy with objectives, driving engagement and handling complex HR initiatives across time zones.

The role requires a Master's in HR/Industrial Psychology or related field, 7+ years HR experience including HRBP, strong South African labor law knowledge, HRIS and analytics proficiency, and excellent communication skills to operate

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive HR experience with 3+ years in an HRBP role.
• Experience supporting diverse business units in remote or hybrid environments.
• Strong knowledge of South African labor law and HR best practices.
• Excellent communication, consulting, and influencing skills for remote work.

Responsibilities

• Act as a strategic advisor to business leaders on HR matters including talent management, organizational design, and change management.
• Develop and implement HR initiatives aligning with company goals to promote engagement and retention.
• Partner with units to understand needs and provide tailored HR solutions.
• Oversee complex employee relations issues and ensure fair policy application.
• Lead performance management cycles with goal setting, feedback, and development planning.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to ensure effective recruitment and onboarding.
• Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives across units.
• Analyze HR metrics to provide insights and recommendations to leaders.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws across jurisdictions.
