Job summary

Placements24 in East London is seeking an experienced Senior HR Business Partner to drive talent management and align HR strategy with business goals. You will shape the employee lifecycle from recruitment and onboarding to development, retention, and succession planning.

You will work closely with senior leadership to implement HR policies, oversee performance and employee relations, and foster a high-performance culture across the organization in the Eastern Cape.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Admin, or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years progressive HR experience focused on talent management and employee relations.
• Strong knowledge of South African labor law and HR best practices.
• Experience with HRIS and data-driven people analytics.
• CIPM certification is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement talent management strategies, including succession planning and leadership development.
• Partner with business leaders to identify current and future talent needs and design solutions.
• Oversee and enhance performance management processes to drive growth and accountability.
• Manage complex employee relations issues in line with policies and law.
• Drive employee engagement initiatives and action plans to foster a positive work environment.
• Collaborate with recruitment to attract and retain top talent and build a robust pipeline.
• Provide coaching to line managers on performance, development, and retention.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations in East London, Eastern Cape.
• Contribute to HR policies and procedures development and execution.
• Analyze HR data to provide insights to senior management.
