Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Geotechnical Engineer to contribute to major mining projects from a remote location. You will oversee geotechnical analysis, design ground support, and monitor stability for underground and open-pit operations, collaborating with site teams.

You will utilize FLAC, Plaxis, and remote sensing tools to analyze data, prepare reports, and provide expert guidance. The position offers flexible remote work while supporting significant mining operations

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in Geotechnical or Mining Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of mining-geotechnical experience.
• Experience with FLAC and Plaxis for numerical modeling.

Responsibilities

• Perform geotechnical investigations for mine design and stability.
• Develop ground support designs and monitoring programs.
• Conduct seismic hazard assessments and mitigation guidance.
• Analyze data from site investigations and monitoring equipment.
• Prepare detailed geotechnical reports and design specs.
• Provide remote technical support to teams.
