Qualifications
- Master's or PhD in Geotechnical/Mining Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 7 years of geotechnical experience with mining focus.
- Proficiency with FLAC, PLAXIS and RocScience software.
- Strong rock and soil mechanics understanding.
- Experience with remote sensing and geotechnical monitoring.
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed geotechnical assessments for mine sites including slope and excavation stability.
- Design ground support systems (rock bolts, mesh, shotcrete) for mining conditions.
- Analyze geotechnical data and adjust operational plans remotely.
- Develop geotechnical risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
- Provide technical guidance to mine engineers remotely.
- Stay updated on geotechnical and mining advancements.
