Job summary

Placements24 invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow in Genomics and Bioinformatics. This fully remote role enables collaboration with leading scientists and access to advanced computational resources from anywhere.

You will analyze large-scale genomic datasets and develop novel pipelines. The ideal candidate holds a PhD in a quantitative field, has experience with NGS data, Python or R, cloud computing, and HPC.

Qualifications

• PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genomics, CS, or related field.
• Experience analyzing large genomic datasets (WGS/WES/RNA-Seq).
• Strong programming in Python or R and use of bioinformatics libraries/tools.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud) and HPC environments.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret large-scale genomic datasets, incl. NGS data.
• Develop and validate novel bioinformatics pipelines and algorithms.
• Collaborate with experimental biologists to design studies and interpret results.
• Apply statistical methods and machine learning for discovery.
• Prepare manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals and present findings.
• Maintain and organize computational resources and databases.
