Job summary

Placements24 seeks an experienced E-commerce Operations Manager to lead online business operations in a fully remote role within South Africa. You will oversee the end-to-end supply chain, order processing, inventory, and website operations while collaborating with the digital marketing team to drive online sales and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years in e-commerce ops, a strong FMCG background, expertise with OMS/WMS, and proven leadership of remote teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor-level degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
5–7 years in e‑commerce operations, FMCG preferred.
Strong track record in scaling online operations and managing remote teams.
Experience with OMS and WMS systems; data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

Oversee end-to-end e-commerce operations, including website management and fulfillment.
Manage online inventory levels and accuracy across platforms.
Coordinate with 3PL providers for timely and cost-effective delivery.
Optimize customer journey and user experience to drive conversions.
Lead warehouse strategy and order fulfillment improvements for efficiency.
Monitor key metrics like order accuracy, delivery times, and inventory turnover.
Collaborate with digital marketing to align operations with campaigns.
Respond to customer service inquiries related to online orders.
