Placements24 is seeking a Fleet Operations Manager to oversee our East London-based fleet, with remote support for the broader operation. You will lead a team to ensure efficiency, regulatory compliance, maintenance scheduling, and cost control, keeping vehicles safe and available.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Logistics or Business Administration and at least five years in fleet management, with experience in telematics and fleet software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in fleet management or operations.
• Experience with remote management of field operations for East London support.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies for efficient fleet management, including vehicle acquisition, maintenance, and disposal.
• Oversee daily fleet operations, ensuring vehicles are available, compliant, and optimally utilized.
• Manage the fleet maintenance program, including scheduling, vendor relationships, and cost control.
• Ensure adherence to transportation regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies.
• Analyze fleet performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement cost-saving measures.
• Lead and mentor the fleet management team, fostering a culture of responsibility and efficiency.
