Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Remote Fleet Operations Manager to oversee nationwide fleet operations. You will strategize to optimize performance, ensure safety, and manage a dispersed team of drivers and support staff.

You will lead initiatives using telematics and fleet software to drive cost efficiency and compliance, while coordinating with logistics and customer service to meet transport needs.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in fleet management or transportation operations.
• Experience managing remote or dispersed teams.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards is required.
• Proficiency with fleet management software and telematics systems.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to optimize fleet performance, utilization, and maintenance schedules.
• Oversee driver management including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies.
• Manage fleet maintenance programs to minimize downtime and coordinate repairs.
• Analyze fleet data to identify cost savings and improve operational efficiency.
• Coordinate with logistics, sales, and customer service to meet transportation needs.
