Placements24 seeks an experienced Remote Fleet Manager to oversee our transportation fleet across the Free State and beyond. The role focuses on maintenance, scheduling, compliance, and cost-effectiveness to keep the fleet safe, efficient, and compliant.

You will manage operations remotely, using telematics data and driver management to maintain uptime and optimize performance. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in fleet management or related transportation logistics role.
• In-depth knowledge of vehicle maintenance, DOT regulations, and driver management.
• Familiarity with fleet management software and telematics systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement fleet management policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and safety.
• Oversee vehicle maintenance schedules, repairs, and preventative care programs.
• Monitor driver performance, compliance with driving hours regulations, and adherence to company policies.
• Manage fuel consumption, telematics data, and other operational costs to optimize fleet expenditure.
• Ensure all vehicles and operations comply with relevant transportation laws and regulations.
• Coordinate with logistics and dispatch teams to ensure effective vehicle utilization and timely deliveries.
