Job summary

Satāya, a fast-growing South African fintech, is seeking a Product Operations Manager to own how the company’s products run from launch through day-to-day delivery and continuous improvement.

You will translate commercial ambitions into scalable, well-documented processes that stay compliant as volumes grow, sitting between operations and the wider business. This fully remote role reports to the Head of Operations.

Qualifications

• Min 3 years of operations experience in financial services or fintech.
• Experience launching a new financial product is advantageous.
• Knowledge of SA exchange control and FICA/KYC onboarding.
• Proven ability to write operating procedures and drive process improvements.
• Experience configuring or automating a CRM; Zoho exposure is a plus.
• Familiar with AI tools at work and good judgement on value.
• Able to work remotely with high attention to detail and risk.
• Degree in commerce/finance/business; regulatory qualification a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Take operational ownership of new products from concept through launch, including partner offerings
• Lead readiness planning across process, systems, documentation and training before go-live
• Act as the operational contact for external product partners
• Own end-to-end design and upkeep of core workflows for payments, onboarding and exchange control
• Ensure processes meet regulatory, banking and governance standards
• Agree current and target state with stakeholders before changes go live
• Build and maintain a central library of operating procedures
• Keep documentation aligned with actual work and review regularly
• Reduce reliance on individuals by making process information accessible
• Understand in-house platform and propose improvements to tech team
• Translate business needs into system requirements and lead UAT
• Administer and automate CRM/work tools including integrations
• Apply AI thoughtfully to improve speed and quality while protecting data
