Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly organized Remote Event Catering Coordinator to manage catering for virtual and hybrid events. You will liaise with clients, caterers, and delivery services, coordinating menus, timelines, and budgets from a remote location.

The role requires strong communication, meticulous planning, and the ability to juggle multiple event streams. Prior remote-work experience and knowledge of food safety standards are a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in event planning or catering coordination with strong logistics focus.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and meet deadlines.

• Strong negotiation and vendor management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate catering logistics for virtual and hybrid events, including menu selection, vendor management, and delivery scheduling.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding all catering-related inquiries and needs.
• Source and vet third-party catering partners in various geographic locations, ensuring quality and reliability.
• Develop detailed catering plans, including timelines, budgets, and contingency plans for each event.
• Manage and track catering budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial guidelines.
• Oversee the ordering and confirmation of food and beverage packages, including special dietary accommodations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the catering execution phase of events.
• Maintain accurate event records and client communication logs within the company's CRM system.
• Stay informed about industry best practices for remote catering and virtual event F&B.
