The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Environmental Science/Management, 7+ years in environmental consulting, and MA or EAP registration. Strong GIS and reporting skills are essential, with a passion for sustainable development.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in environmental consulting.
- EAP registration with the relevant authority.
- Strong knowledge of South African environmental legislation (NEMA, MPRDA).
- Proficiency in GIS and environmental modeling software (assets).
- Excellent report writing and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Conduct EIAs and Basic Assessments.
- Develop and implement EMPs and monitoring programmes.
- Perform site assessments, baseline studies, and risk analyses.
- Advise clients on environmental compliance and permitting.
- Prepare detailed reports, feasibility studies, and management strategies.
- Engage with regulators, clients, and communities throughout projects.
