Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Technical Recruitment Consultant for a remote role with occasional travel to Nelspruit, Mpumalanga. Your focus will be sourcing and placing engineers across civil, mechanical, electrical and chemical disciplines, connecting top talent with leading engineering firms.

You will manage full recruitment cycles, screen technically, negotiate offers, and contribute to salary benchmarking and market insights in a fast-growing recruitment practice.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in technical recruitment focusing on engineering.
• Proven success in sourcing and placing engineers (civil, mechanical, electrical, chemical).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for engineering positions, from initial client contact to successful placement.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies to attract niche engineering talent.
• Build and maintain relationships with engineering clients and hiring managers.
• Conduct in-depth technical screening and competency-based interviews.
• Understand the technical requirements and project demands of engineering roles.
• Negotiate offers and manage the candidate experience throughout the process.
• Achieve and exceed recruitment targets for engineering placements.
• Provide market intelligence and salary benchmarking for engineering roles.
• Stay current with technological advancements and industry trends in engineering fields.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and market insights.
