Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their remote product development team. You will design, develop, and validate embedded electrical systems and control software for next-generation products, collaborating with hardware and software engineers from a home office.

The role requires a strong background in embedded hardware and firmware, proficiency in C/C++, and hands-on experience with ARM/PIC microcontrollers.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
4+ years of experience in embedded systems design, including hardware and firmware development.
Proficiency in C/C++ programming for embedded applications.
Experience with microcontroller architecture (e.g., ARM, PIC) and associated development tools.
Knowledge of communication protocols (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART, CAN).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

Design and develop embedded electrical systems, including circuit design, component selection, and PCB layout guidance.
Implement and test firmware for microcontrollers and other embedded processors.
Develop and refine control algorithms for various product applications.
Conduct thorough testing and validation of electrical systems, ensuring performance and reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product design, integration, and troubleshooting.
Create and maintain detailed design documentation, schematics, and test reports.
