Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Embedded Systems Engineer to join a fully remote development team. Lead design, development, and integration of embedded firmware and hardware interfaces, driving end-to-end solutions across the product lifecycle.

The ideal candidate brings 8+ years in embedded systems with strong C/C++, RTOS experience, and deep knowledge of microcontrollers and peripherals. This role offers a remote-first environment with opportunities for technical leadership and mentorship.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
8+ years of professional experience in embedded systems development.
Strong proficiency in C/C++ for embedded applications.
In-depth knowledge of microcontroller architectures, peripherals, and memory management.
Experience with RTOS and debugging tools.
Familiarity with hardware interfaces and protocols (SPI, I2C, UART, USB).

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and test embedded firmware and software for new hardware platforms.
Define system architecture for embedded solutions, considering performance, power, and cost constraints.
Integrate hardware and software components, ensuring seamless system operation.
Develop and maintain low-level drivers and RTOS.
Debug and troubleshoot complex issues across hardware and software aspects.
Collaborate with hardware engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders in a remote setting.
