Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Firmware Engineer to join their remote-first product development team. You will design, develop, and optimize firmware powering their hardware products, collaborating with hardware and software teams to deliver robust, efficient code.

The role focuses on embedded systems, RTOS integration, drivers for peripherals, and rigorous testing to ensure quality in a fully remote environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of firmware development experience for embedded systems.
• Expertise in C and C++.
• Solid understanding of embedded architectures and hardware-software interaction.
• Experience with RTOS and protocols (I2C, SPI, UART).
• Experience working in a remote team.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test firmware for embedded systems using C/C++.
• Optimize firmware for performance, memory, and power.
• Develop and maintain drivers for various hardware peripherals.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to define firmware requirements.
• Implement RTOS and related software components.
