Placements24 is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer focused on Embedded Systems to join a fully remote team. You will drive hardware and firmware integration from concept through testing, delivering high-quality, cost-effective solutions from your home office.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical/Computer Engineering and at least six years of embedded hardware experience, with hands-on work in schematic capture, PCB layout, and firmware development in C/C++.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years in embedded systems hardware design.
• Strong schematic capture and PCB design tool experience.
• Experience with ARM Cortex-M, ESP32 or similar MCUs.
• Firmware development and debugging in C/C++.
• Knowledge of I2C, SPI, UART, USB and Bluetooth/Wi‑Fi.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded hardware systems with schematic capture and PCB layout.
• Select MCUs, sensors, PMICs for embedded applications.
• Develop and debug firmware for embedded systems in C/C++.
• Integrate hardware and firmware for optimal performance.
• Test and validate hardware designs including SI/PI analysis.
• Collaborate with software, mechanical, and product teams remotely.
• Create and maintain design docs, test plans, and user manuals.
