Placements24 seeks a highly skilled Remote Automotive Software Developer to join a distributed engineering team across South Africa. This role focuses on embedded software for automotive applications and ADAS, designed to run on ECUs with C/C++ and RTOS.

You will design, develop, test, and deploy software for powertrain, infotainment, and body electronics in a fully remote setting using agile methods. Excellent problem-solving and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of embedded software development experience in automotive.
• Proficiency in C and C++ programming languages.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for automotive ECUs using C/C++.
• Implement and optimize RTOS and device drivers for embedded automotive platforms.
• Develop software for powertrain control, infotainment, body electronics, and ADAS.
• Write robust, well-documented code adhering to MISRA C/C++ standards.
• Perform unit and integration testing, debugging of embedded modules.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers and software peers in a remote agile environment.
• Translate requirements into technical design specifications.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Troubleshoot complex defects and performance issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development tools and processes.
