Job summary

Placements24 client, a global leader in automotive technology, seeks a remote Automotive Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain embedded software for infotainment, driver assistance, and vehicle connectivity. Work with a distributed team, using C/C++, Python, RTOS, and embedded Linux in an Agile setting.

Qualifications include a CS/engineering degree and 5+ years software experience (3+ embedded), with strong debugging and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS/Engineering.
• 5+ years in software development; 3+ years embedded.
• Strong C/C++ and/or Python skills.
• RTOS and embedded Linux experience.
• Familiarity with CAN, LIN, Ethernet automotive protocols.
• Experience with Git, Jenkins, Agile/Scrum.
• Excellent analytical and debugging skills.
• Strong remote/distributed team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded software for automotive applications.
• Write clean, efficient code in C, C++, Python or Java.
• Collaborate with hardware and systems engineers in an Agile environment.
• Integrate software components for interoperable systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex defects and performance issues.
• Contribute to software architecture and design patterns.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to peers.
• Stay updated with automotive software trends and best practices.
