Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Automotive Software Engineer specializing in Embedded Systems to design, develop and test embedded software for ECUs and in-vehicle systems.

You will work with a global team to deliver reliable, secure automotive software across infotainment, driver assistance, and powertrain domains. 5+ years in embedded automotive development and strong C/C++ expertise are essential. This fully remote role supports international collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer/Electrical/Software engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of embedded software experience in automotive applications.
• Strong C/C++ in real-time embedded environments.
• Experience with CAN, LIN, Ethernet protocols.
• Familiarity with AUTOSAR/RTOS and development tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and remote collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain real-time embedded software for automotive ECUs and in-vehicle systems.
• Write clean, efficient C/C++ code for embedded environments.
• Test software components per automotive safety standards (ISO 26262).
• Collaborate with hardware engineers and system architects to define software requirements and architecture.
• Perform unit and integration tests, and debugging on target hardware.
• Contribute to code reviews and improve software development processes.
