Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a talented Automotive Software Engineer to join their remote-first team, developing in-vehicle software from infotainment to ADAS. You will design, implement, and test software powering modern automotive features in a distributed, agile environment.

You will work with embedded C/C++, RTOS, and automotive protocols (CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet), contribute to AUTOSAR-style architectures, and collaborate with hardware engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of embedded software development in automotive.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and RTOS.
• Familiarity with CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, and agile practices.
• Knowledge of ISO 26262 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded software for automotive control units and in-vehicle systems using languages like C/C++ and Python.
• Design software architectures that are scalable, robust, and meet automotive standards (AUTOSAR).
• Participate in requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to define software interfaces and requirements.
• Write unit, integration, and system tests to ensure quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve defects during development and production.
