Placements24 is seeking a remote Automotive Software Engineer to design, develop and test embedded software for infotainment, ADAS, and connectivity. You will work with hardware engineers, system architects and product managers in a remote-first environment.

The role emphasizes strong C/C++, RTOS, and automotive protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet), with responsibilities spanning design, testing, code reviews and staying ahead of industry trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in embedded software development for automotive systems.
• Strong C/C++ skills and RTOS experience.
• Familiarity with CAN, LIN, Ethernet and automotive protocols.
• Experience with version control and debugging tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement software components for automotive embedded systems using C/C++ and other relevant languages.
• Develop and maintain software for vehicle communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
• Collaborate with system engineers to define software requirements and architecture.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and debugging of software modules.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of software development processes.
