Placements24 is seeking a highly organized Remote E-commerce Operations Lead to oversee end-to-end online business operations from a remote base in Vereeniging. You will optimize supply chain, inventory, logistics, and customer service to scale the platform across markets.

The role requires 5+ years in e-commerce operations, proven capability to manage 3PL relationships, drive efficiency, and lead a remote team while partnering with cross-functional teams and leveraging OMS/ERP tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in e-commerce operations, supply chain, or logistics.
• Experience managing large-scale e-commerce operations and optimizing fulfillment.
• Strong understanding of inventory management, warehousing, and shipping logistics.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead a remote team and collaborate with cross-functional departments.
• Experience with e-commerce platforms and order management systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize all aspects of the e-commerce supply chain, including warehousing, inventory management, and order fulfillment processes.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve delivery times, reduce shipping costs, and enhance customer satisfaction with order tracking and delivery.
• Oversee inventory levels across all online channels, ensuring stock accuracy and minimizing stockouts and overstock situations.
• Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and other vendors, negotiating contracts and ensuring service level agreements are met.
• Lead the customer service function for the e-commerce channel, ensuring timely and effective resolution of customer inquiries and issues.
• Implement and refine operational procedures, leveraging technology and data analysis to drive continuous improvement in the Vereeniging operations.
