Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a visionary E-commerce and Digital Marketing Lead to spearhead our online presence from anywhere in South Africa. You will develop and execute strategies across e-commerce platforms and all digital channels while leading a remote team.

The role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and deep expertise in digital analytics, SEO/SEM, content marketing, and paid media. You will collaborate with stakeholders to drive revenue growth and ROI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in e-commerce and digital marketing leadership roles.
• Proven track record of successfully developing and executing high-impact digital marketing and e-commerce strategies.
• Extensive experience with e-commerce platforms, digital analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics), SEO, SEM, and social media marketing.
• Demonstrated experience in leading and managing remote teams.
• Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in managing budgets and optimizing campaign performance for maximum ROI.
• A deep understanding of consumer behavior in the digital space.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive e-commerce strategies to drive sales, optimize user experience, and increase conversion rates.
• Lead and manage all digital marketing efforts, including SEO, SEM, social media marketing, content marketing, and email marketing.
• Oversee the management and optimization of the e-commerce website and associated online marketplaces.
• Develop and execute social media strategies to build brand awareness, engage the community, and drive traffic.
• Analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
• Manage the digital marketing budget effectively, ensuring optimal ROI on all campaigns.
• Lead and mentor a team of digital marketing and e-commerce professionals in a remote setting.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment between marketing initiatives and business objectives.
• Report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide strategic recommendations for continuous improvement.
