Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a motivated Remote Driver Recruiter to source and hire qualified drivers for transportation operations. Based remotely (ideally near Paarl), you will drive the full recruitment cycle from candidate identification to offers, focusing on driving roles and compliance requirements.

You will build a robust candidate pipeline, collaborate with hiring managers, and manage background checks and pre-employment screenings, all in a results-driven remote environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a recruiter, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry.
• Full-cycle recruitment experience including sourcing, interviewing, and candidate management.
• Strong understanding of driver recruitment requirements (licenses, PDPs, medicals).
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Experience with ATS and online recruitment platforms.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Source, screen, and interview qualified candidates for driving positions, including commercial and specialized roles, all conducted remotely.
• Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract a diverse pool of drivers.
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline of potential candidates through networking, job boards, and social media.
• Manage the offer process, including background checks, reference checks, and pre-employment screenings.
• Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their specific staffing needs and ensure successful placements.
• Maintain accurate candidate records and track recruitment progress using applicant tracking systems (ATS).
