Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in data security, cybersecurity, or related role.
• Strong understanding of data encryption, access control, and DLP technologies.
• Familiarity with data privacy regulations and compliance requirements.
• Experience with security incident response procedures.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage data security controls and technologies to protect sensitive information.
• Monitor data access patterns and investigate suspicious or unauthorized activities.
• Respond to data breaches and security incidents, performing forensic analysis and coordinating remediation efforts.
• Develop and enforce data classification and handling policies.
• Conduct regular risk assessments focused on data security and privacy.
• Ensure compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., POPIA).
